Many customers prefer us to host their Capture Portal on our cloud computing infrastructure, and here is why:

With a hosting subscription, you can start your first webcast today. It takes minimal time for our technicians to install and configure your Capture Portal and hand you the keys (i.e. administrative credentials).

 

Although the Desire2Learn® Capture Portal software has no hard limitations on capacity, in practice your network may only be able to handle a certain number of outgoing video streams. Your current ISP may also impose a cap on the total amount of data going through your network. A hosting subscription means you do not have to worry about your network capacity; you have as much bandwidth as you need.

 

Any server infrastructure requires some maintenance. System and media data backup, resource management, hardware upgrades and fixes – we are happy to do it all at no extra charge.

 

When deployed on our cloud computing infrastructure, Desire2Learn Capture Portal is massively scalable. Cloud computing technology gives you the flexibility to expand your infrastructure when needed, making webcasts with hundreds or thousands of participants possible.
